Feb 12 - Paula Cagli (art historian and chair of the Brussels Decorative and Fine Arts Society of Belgium), "Bernini and Borromini:
Baroque Rivals for Papal Commissions".
Ms Cagli is an art historian and photographer living in Belgium. She holds a degree in art history from Temple University in the US. Her research
interest is in the architectural history of Rome, on which she lectures widely, using her photographs as illustration. As a photographer, she has won
many awards for her photographs and held numerous exhibitions. She is chair of the British Decorative and Fine Arts Society of Brussels, which
organises lectures, study days and guided visits to art exhibits in English in Belgium. You can see some of her photographs and lectures on her site

March 4 - Professor Marie-Claire Foblets (Faculty of Law, Catholic University of Leuven), "Belgium facing increasing cultural and
religious diversity. Which way to go?"
Professor Foblets teaches legal anthropology at the University of Leuven, and heads up the Institute for Migration Law. Last year, she co-chaired the
"Round Tables on Interculturality" in Belgium, a wide consultation of society about future directions of multicultural policy and integration. She
co-edited its report, which launched a major social debate in the country about the way Belgium handles cultural diversity, and its policy options for a
more integrated and cohesive society.
March 11 - Dr Eva Hanses-Doyle (psychotherapist and life coach), "'Master your Fears".
Eva Hanses-Doyle, B.A., M.Ed., is a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and life coach. She has worked in several European countries and
conducts individual coaching sessions and seminars on various aspects of personal development. Eva passionately believes that our present life
experiences are largely created by our thought patterns and that our attitudes contribute to shaping our future.

March 25 - Jorge Nuño-Mayer (Secretary General, Caritas Europa), "Caritas as the diaconal dimension of faith" .
Mr Nuño-Mayer took up his post as secretary general in June 2010. His background is as a social educator in Spain and Gemany, where he was
also active in Caritas. Caritas Europe is a network of the 49 European national Caritas organisations, is "united around the common motivation of
serving and helping those in need, the poor, the vulnerable, those left out in our societies".
April 22 - Ruth Faber (Programme Director, Mission East (Brussels)), "International development and Christian responsibility".
Mission East is a Danish international relief and development NGO which works to help the vulnerable through humanitarian relief aid, development
assistance, the linking of relief, rehabilitation and development and through supporting communities' capacity to organise and assist themselves. It
began as an outreach to countries under Communist rule, and continues to serve as a Christian aid organisation to people in Eastern Europe and
Central Asia (Romania, Bulgaria, Armenia, Tajikistan, Armenia) and Asia (Afghanistan, Nepal, Pakistan and North Korea).
